In the beginning,
We were just people.
We had real hearts
And real feelings
And we slept with the sun,
Because there was always so much to say.
In the beginning,
We laughed.
We were one,
Replicas of each other,
Twins, if you might,
Without blood.
In the beginning,
We had potential.
We had dreams
And faith
And hope
Of a future.
In the beginning,
You and I were
We.
How did it ever become
You and Me?
I can just relate to this poem. I don't have any structural critiques, I just enjoyed this poem because I can relate to the issue.
ReplyDeleteI really like this poem because i can also relate to it. Thats the best type of poem when you can see your self in the words.
ReplyDeleteThis poem caught my attention out of all the others first because of the title. When I read it I like it even more. I have related to this poem at one time or another and that is why I believe I like it so much. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI like this poem has sentimental value to it not just made up
